The Old Amersham Business Association and the Amersham Society would like to inform residents of Old Amersham that the permission to close the roads throughout the town for A Magical Christmas Evening event on Fri 6 Dec 2019 has been granted by Bucks County Council.
The High Street (from The Worthies to the Market Hall), Market Square, the Broadway (from the Dovecote car park to Market Square), Whielden Street (from Whielden Green to Market Square) and Church Street (from Badminton Court to Market Square) will be closed to traffic. School Lane and Mill Lane will remain open and there will be diversions in place to circumnavigate the old town.
The road closures will come into effect at 4.00pm on Fri 6 Dec, until 10.00pm. The parking bays on the Broadway and Market Square will be coned off from 2.00pm onwards.
We appreciate that this will create some inconvenience for residents, but we should be grateful for your co-operation on this occasion to ensure public safety and the enhancement of this popular festive event.
