Amersham Town Council asked us to share the information about their plans for the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday and how our members and the residents of the Old Town could help them to organise the celebration. Here are the details:
JUBILEE PHOTOGRAPHY DISPLAY
Do you have any photos reflecting Queen Elizabeth ll’s reign over the last 70 years? Perhaps you have some old family photos of street parties during her coronation or jubilees? Were you present when she visited Amersham in 1962?
Amersham Town Council are hoping to host a Jubilee Photographic Display in the Memorial Gardens during the special band concert on Friday 3 June. If you have any photos that you are happy to share, please send a digital copy to admin@amersham-tc.gov.uk and a short paragraph (optional) of your memories and anecdotes of the time.
