Tom Lawrence is a cabinetmaker, furniture conservator and art historian who has been fortunate to work on many pieces made by excellent craftsmen over the last four centuries. Our members may have read his article in the May 2022 Newsletter about his work to conserve and repair the 18th century bookcases in the Library at Shardeloes. In this talk he will tell us about his experience working on furniture designed by the English architect and designer William Burges.
Coffee/tea and biscuits will be available from 7.30pm. The talk starts at 8.00pm. No booking necessary. Guests and new members welcome.
